How long have you been in business?

We are a full line miniature shop that is family owned and operated and offers dollhouses, furniture, wallpaper, lighting, landscaping, carpeting, paints, wood and trim accessories as well as a knowledgeable staff.  We stock everything from the lower priced pieces to higher-end quality items so there is lots to choose from! Our own exclusive items include Handcrafted Christmas trees, food, linens, miniature dolls and more.

We got started in a little house in Southampton, Pa. in 1979. After five years we moved to York Road in Warminster, Pa. In 1999 we added our website, and on-line store. In 2006, we closed the Warminster store and operate solely with the on-line internet store, at www.thedollhousestore.com . We can be reached via our website and through e-mail and phone. top

Are dollhouses just for kids?

No, dollhouses are for children of all ages. Many times the parents have more fun buying and working on the dollhouse than the child they bought it for.      top

Are dollhouses just for girls?

    No, dollhouses can be for a boy or girl. However, boys tend to pick a barn, fire house, general store, and log cabins. The good thing is that you can make it whatever you want it to be.   top

Can I pay by check or money order?

    Yes you can! Simply make out your order in the store just as if you were going to pay with a credit card. When you are going through the Check-out there will be a "payment method " box. Click the down arrow to choose "fax order in". Click continue.   Print out the Fax sheet and mail it with your check or money order. Incidentally,  you can also use this sheet to FAX (215-310-9730) us your credit card information if you prefer not to use our secure online store. In the meantime you will get an automatic email from us telling you we are waiting for your fax. If mailing in payment, just ignore this email. We receive your order through the online store on our end so you do not have to print your order when mailing in payment.     top

Can I visit your store?

    As of December 31st  2005 we have closed the Warminster store to the public and operate solely online.     top

    It depends. A small cottage can take a weekend while the largest houses can take a number of weekends.    top

    Yes, even if you don't see it, we may have it. We are constantly updating our store. Please e-mail us your request and we will be happy to get it for you.     top

When will my credit card be charged?

    We charge you credit card when we ship your order. If we have an item shipped directly from a dealer, we may charge when we notify the dealer to ship. We would then charge the balance of the order shipped from us.     top

When will my order be shipped?

    Orders are shipped twice a week as long as all items are in stock. While we try to have enough of each item in stock, there are times that popular items run low and we have to wait on an order.  In this case we will email you to notify you of the order status.      top

Who do I contact if I have a question?

    We prefer that customers email us with their questions. We check and reply to emails several times daily.     top
